Spotted: New Santa Cruz and Juliana XC Race Bikes
It appears that Santa Cruz and Juliana have a new XC race bike that is about to hit the market. Sporting what is likely to be production colors and a name on the seat stay, the new frame foregoes the infamous Santa Cruz VPP suspension design in favor of a lightweight, single pivot flex stay. With a second place in UCI XCO Elite Men and a fourth place in UCI XCO Elite Women this past weekend, it looks likes this is a bike that will be on a number of podiums throughout the upcoming season.
There is no info on a release date at this point, but it may be soon. The new Santa Cruz #htSQD team was set to be announced at the OZ Trails Pro Cup presented by Experience Fayetteville on April 9th, 10th, and 11th, but elected not to do so in regard to recent Arkansas state legislation that excludes transgender athletes from sport, as well as basic human rights.
